Five things I learned doing entrepreneurship

There are a lot, actually. But these five are my top on the lists.

1. “Trust but verify.”

Make it a habit. It’s a good one and it will save you a lot of time, effort and especially, moolah.

It’s always alright to give trust so the other parties will give trust to you also especially with new or possible business partner but don’t forget to cross check.

Every Sunday, I never skipped reading Joey’s column at Philippine Star newsprint. I never get tired of his jokes and never will be, I guess. He IS a “punch line genius”.

In no particular order, these books made my entrepreneurial skills enhanced. You will become more innovative on getting things. The movie, on the otherhand, started me to think of doing business. Invest on yourself before going to the jungle!

Marinated Shrimp

Last Sunday, we had a “couples” visitors. Best friend of my beloved sister and her foreigner husband. They requested grilled squid for the dinner but unfortunately, it’s already late to go to the nearby public market due no more selling of squid in the afternoon. If there are available, it’s not fresh anymore.

So we decided to cook shrimp. The guy is Tunisian, somewhere in North Africa, and take note, he’s a vegetarian. He even do not like to eat sea foods with oil. But who can resist my cook, eh?

After taking few taste and bites, he then asked what’s with the recipe. I told him it’s basically margarine butter, and the wife told him that “I thought you don’t eat seafoods with oil”. Well, he just said, “It’s delicious!”.  Funny thing, he won’t stop getting the shrimp sauce. :-)

Try it guys, you may like it also.

Recipe:

Shrimp

Garlic

Black Pepper

Dairy creme

Iodize salt

P.S.: Serve it as not too cold and warm(hot). You may add green chilly pepper if you’re hot.. err.. into hot food, ok? :-)
